AeroSphere EO/IR Turret Platform

The AeroSphere EO/IR Turret Platform is a high-performance spherical pan-tilt positioning system designed for electro-optical payloads and multi-sensor surveillance systems. Its aerodynamic spherical housing minimizes wind resistance while providing robust protection for sensitive optical components. The system supports 360° continuous azimuth rotation and wide elevation movement, enabling panoramic scanning and precise target tracking. The turret can integrate multiple sensors including HD daylight cameras, infrared thermal imagers, laser rangefinders, and tracking modules, forming a powerful EO/IR observation system for day-night operations. Built for demanding operational environments, the platform is ideal for border security, coastal surveillance, mobile reconnaissance, and critical infrastructure protection.

Overview of Product

Unlike traditional U-shaped pan-tilt structures, the spherical architecture encloses the motion mechanism inside a streamlined shell. This design improves structural rigidity and stability when deployed in high-wind environments such as maritime platforms, vehicle-mounted systems, and elevated surveillance towers.

The AeroSphere turret utilizes a two-axis pan-tilt architecture housed within a hemispherical aerodynamic enclosure. This structure reduces aerodynamic drag while maintaining high mechanical rigidity, ensuring stable operation in windy or mobile environments.

The platform enables continuous azimuth rotation for panoramic observation and supports wide elevation movement for vertical scanning and target tracking. The enclosed turret structure also protects the drive system, sensors, and cables from harsh environmental conditions.

The system supports integration of a wide range of electro-optical payloads, including:

  • Long-range daylight zoom cameras

  • Uncooled or cooled thermal imaging modules

  • Laser rangefinders or target designators

  • Multi-sensor fusion payloads

With its modular architecture, the turret can be customized in terms of sensor configuration, optical windows, stabilization system, and communication interfaces, enabling integration into both fixed and mobile surveillance platforms.
